Dr. Jennifer Greene

Jennifer Reynolds Greene has been an instrumental music educator for thirty years. She  holds a position at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, a suburb of Syracuse, New York, where she teaches Concert Band, Studio Music, Music Theory 2, AP Music Theory, brass and percussion lessons, and chamber ensembles. Dr. Greene has presented research at the NAfME Biennial Music Research and Teacher Education Conference, Society for Music Teacher Education Symposium, NAfME Eastern Division, and the International Society for Music Education Conference. Her work has been published in Arts Education Policy Review, Journal of Music Teacher Education, and the School Music News. Dr. Greene’s research interests include teacher education as it relates to mentoring and professional development.
 
Dr. Greene holds her Bachelor of Music Education, Summa Cum Laude, from James Madison University (1990), Master of Music from Ithaca College (1991) and her Doctorate of Musical Arts from Boston University (2015).  
Erin Tapia

Erin Tapia is the Director of Bands at Westhill High School in Syracuse, New York, where she conducts the High School Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Lab, 50+ student Brazilian Percussion Ensemble, Pep Band, Musical Pit Band, and chamber music ensembles. Erin’s ensembles have traveled often, including performances throughout New York State and in Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Boston, Washington, D.C., and New York City. Her students are regularly selected to play in local and state honor bands and orchestras, and more than fifty of Erin’s students have performed in collegiate instrumental music ensembles. Erin is co-author of  “The Sight Reading Book,” a set of 21 sight-reading books carefully aligned with state-specific criteria at six different levels of difficulty. She maintains a private flute studio and performs on flute and piccolo with the Central Winds: Music Educators’ Wind Ensemble and the Syracuse Summer Festival Orchestra and holds the position of Personnel Manager of the Central Winds. Erin is active as guest conductor and has presented clinics on instrumental pedagogy, music literacy, score study, curriculum, and teaching in the common core era to music educators at County, All-State, State, and National conferences.  Erin holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from Syracuse University.
Holly McCoy

Holly McCoy is the Band Director at Henninger High School in the Syracuse City School District.  She has 26 years of teaching experience behind her.  Holly is a Brass Adjudicator for New York State Schools Music Association and also represents NYSSMA as the Chair for the New York Councils of Music Education Association. She also serves as New York State Band Directors Association’s Treasurer. Along with presenting and conducting in a variety of music venues, she spends her time performing on the French horn with the Central Winds (a Music Educators’ Wind Ensemble), Syracuse University Brass, other various community groups and for local school musicals. 
Holly has also presented at conferences on subjects such as urban education, classroom management, personalized learning and brass and percussion. 

Holly lives in Sherrill, NY and is married to Bill McCoy, a music teacher in Oneida County.  Together they have two young adults, Matthew and Morgan.
